Economy campervans have a very similar layout to our Thrifty Campervans, however the vehicles are newer. The stove has a double gas cooker with grill located at the rear of the campervan, and the day sofa converts to a double or two single beds.An awning fits over the rear door and has a ground sheet. The gas cooker can be used from inside the awning or while sitting on the day sofa. Staying in a holiday park enables you to plug in electricity using a 240 volt power connection supplied with the camper. We provide a multi box to charge items like digital cameras or cell phones, while still being able to use the hanging light.
Sleep with the rear door open and awning attached, or with all the doors closed. A mosquito net can be pulled over the passenger window to provide a fresh air during the evening.
Insurance (included): Standard excess is $1,000
Our insurance policy is very simple; if you have an accident, you are required to pay a maximum of $1,000. This covers single vehicle or multiple vehicle accidents. You do not have to pay if it was not your fault.
Zero Excess (optional):$15 per day or $280 per hire
If you have an accident, you do not have to pay anything. This also covers multiple tyre punctures.

Items Included in the Campervans
Kitchen Utensils
This includes a wash basin, dish brush, tea towel, sauce pan with lid, fry pan, fish slice, sharp knife, can opener, and two each of cups, plates, bowls, knifes, forks, desert spoons and tea spoons. We can add extra items for a third person at no extra charge.
Power Connection:
A 240 volt power connection is supplied for use with a powered site at a holiday park. This allows you to plug in the hanging light, fridge, re-charge the portable dvd player and plug in any other electrical items you may have. We supply a free multi box to connect more appliances and a portable fan heater for cooler months.
Mosquito Net:
The mosquito net fits over the front passengers window in all vehicles. It can be used to allow a fresh breeze when all doors are closed and awning is not attached.
Type of Hire:
One Island or All of New Zealand
Travel within one island (North or South Island only) and we offer a cheaper rate. Select All of New Zealand if you would like to travel both islands.
One Way Hire
Our rental vehicles can be hired from Auckland or Christchurch. One way hires attract a $400 relocation fee.
Split Hire (multiple hire)
Hire one vehicle in the North Island and another vehicle in the South Island (or vice versa). Make your own way between the North and South Island at your own pace, or fly. You only need pay for the days you're using the vehicle (we calculated the price as one hire). This means if you hire extras like outdoor table and chairs, a linen pack or choose the zero excess for insurance, you only pay once. You also save on the ferry crossing, receive any long term hire discounts and there is no one way fee. Minimum hire period for each island is five days
